JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump, and as such, was forced to run ads on some its pages. This sometimes meant that the ads were essentially their own panels on the pages. This wasn’t exclusive to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure; nearly every series printed in Weekly Shōnen Jump back then had these ads at some point. Later, when the series was released in the Tankōbon (book) format, these spaces were filled in with new panels. I thought I’d share with you some examples I have from my personal collection of Weekly Shōnen Jump issues.
